About Us
Big Machine Media Worldwide, LLC (BMM) was established in 2002 to work with talented recording artists, actors, authors, sports figures and entertainment industry celebrities/personalities in publicity, new media and marketing. In addition, the company has also managed major events for music and corporate concerns. Their forte is working a cross platform strategy for each client whether in music, TV or film.
The company was created by husband and wife team, Brad Taylor and Leslie Kellner-Taylor. Brad began his career working for Word Records and Myrrh Records in Nashville where he assisted the publicity and marketing for such stars as Amy Grant & Michael W. Smith. Later, he moved to Everland Entertainment where he did press for the popular children's series Veggie Tales, as well as gaining exposure for other clients on NBC's Dateline and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Realizing that the web was becoming an increasingly potent force in publicity, he moved to www.musicforce.com where he helped promote artists such as Jessica Simpson & Creed online.
Leslie began her career working for MCA Records in New York City, working in the publicity department promoting such artists as Mary J. Blige, B.B. King and Sammy Hagar. Her next career step was to work several years with Island Def Jam Music Group as the acting publicist for such artists as Elton John, Elvis Costello, Kiss, Melissa Etheridge, Jay-Z and more. More recently, and before founding BMM, she worked at MCA Records in Nashville with artists such as Lee Ann Womack, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill and the Earl Scruggs & Friends project (Don Henley, Elton John, Steve Martin, Sting & others).
BMM strength lies with its staff that emphasizes the clients' stories and brings their best 'face' to the widest possible audience. The thorough and innovative BMM campaigns and the tenacious drive of their publicists have helped clients reach new levels of success.
BMM's goal with all of their artists and projects is to craft a unique, highly customized approach to each client's needs: One that compliments and supports the particular positioning and strengths of that particular client. We then cast a wide net in reaching out to the broadest possible range of media - magazines, newspapers, syndicated radio, television and the internet - to ensure that clients are viewed with favor within their media markets.
Among the company's clients are/have been: Melissa Joan Hart, Sandra Bernhard, Stephen Baldwin, Joey Pantoliano, Janice Dickinson, Tila Tequila, Verne Troyer, Evan Farmer (Host of TLC show "While You Were Out") and Jai Rodriquez (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy). In addition, BMM has worked corporate clients as well: Advanced Tissue, Krush21, 101 Distribution, BB King Blues Club & Grill, Highline Ballroom, FV Events, The CMA (Country Music) Awards and The African's Children's Choir, Artists Without A Label (AWAL), Club Planet, Track Entertainment, Royal Flush Magazine, JamNow.com, and WoozyFly.com, among others. Beyond movie stars, corporate entities and TV personalities, the other main focus for BMM is music. With a stellar roster of different genres including rock, metal, pop, dance, electronic, country and others, the focus is always to take the music to a higher level in the media. Music clients have included Roisin Murphy, Down, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Blackberry Smoke, As I Lay Dying, Filter, BT, Andrew WK, Marcy Playground, Lordi, Darren Hayes (Savage Garden) and Blake Lewis among many others.
In 2008, the start of recession throughout the USA, Big Machine Media had a banner year. The growing business moved into bigger offices, grew their staff, went 'international' and expanded their reach into new business sectors. Event Planning and Production has been added to the company's repertoire of Publicity, Brand and Artist Development, Digital Marketing, Social Media campaign planning and execution, Media training and Press-Material writing.
In the Fall of 2008, they established an office in London where they have a full staff that can cross promote clients from the UK to the US. With the launch of the London office, BMM UK signed some leading musical artists and fashion designers. The goal has been to bring more British flair into the States and vice versa. They expect to open an office in Los Angeles and Shanghai in the near future.
